Dravosburg is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, located along the Monongahela River. It is located about 11 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. The town was named after the Dravo family of boatbuilders who settled there in the early 1800s. In the early 1900s, the town was a thriving steel and manufacturing center, but as the steel industry declined, the town saw a decline in population and economic activity. Today, Dravosburg is primarily a residential suburb, with a population of approximately 1,700 people. The borough is served by the West Mifflin Area School District and has several parks and outdoor recreation areas for residents to enjoy.
